Controlling his mind is controlling him
I am very upset on the ground that I thought that Snowball would come back and continue to accomplish his great dream to build a harmony and equal animal’s world. But he didn’t. He didn’t appear at last.
This novel, written by George Orwell, a Britain writer, depicts a farm life governed by Napoleon with a group of fierce dogs and smart pigs. In this farm, animals are too stupid to find they are slaved by Napoleon who said animals were equal. They can’t tell the black and white. They can’t learn knowledge. They can’t stick to or believe in themselves so they obey what Napoleon says. These animals are typically blockhead so what they can do is obey, work and follow orders. Not that they can’t feel tired or exhausted, or their real life is different from their dream. They had protested, had suspected, but no matter how they did they would be convinced by Squealer, who had a silver tongue to confuse black and white and persuade everyone, and several fierce dogs which were domesticated by Napoleon.
My understanding about some major characters as follows.
The first role is Napoleon, a totalitarian dreaming being an emperor. He builds an empire and has a great power to control everyone. But without the help of Squealer, Napoleon can’t accomplish his dream so smoothly.
